Perfect for Thanksgiving or any other time!
INGREDIENTS
- 6-7 cups sliced, peeled green apples (3 large)
- 1 1/2 cups fresh cranberries
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbs orange zest
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbs butter
- pastry for 2 crust pie
DIRECTIONS
- Make the filling: Stir the apples, cranberries, sugar, cornstarch, zest, and cinnamon together.
- Preheat oven to 400.
- Line 9″ pie plate with one crust. Add filling.
- Roll the remaining pastry to fit top of pie; cut vents in pastry; place over filling, seal and flute the edges.
- Bake at 400 for 20 minutes; reduce heat to 350, bake 30-35 minutes longer or until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly.
