2-Ingredient Bagels

No rising, no boiling, and very little kneading. You can make these bagels before you go to work in the morning!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of self-rising flour*
  • 1 cup of nonfat Greek yogurt
  • Egg white

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet and lightly coat with cooking spray to prevent the bagels from sticking.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the self-rising flour and yogurt until the mixture clumps to a shaggy dough. Dump the mixture onto a lightly floured work surface. Knead the dough together by hand for about 3-5 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic. Dust with additional flour as needed to keep the dough from sticking on the counter.
  3. Shape the dough into a disc, and divide into 4 equal wedges. Roll each wedge into a log, approx. 6 inches long. Press the ends together to form a circle.
  4. Arrange bagels on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Whisk the egg white then brush over the bagels.
  6. Sprinkle desired toppings over bagels.
  7. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes, rotating the baking sheet midway through baking. Remove from the oven.

Notes:

  • If you don’t have self-rising flour, substitute 1 cup all purpose flour + 1 1/2 tsp baking powder + 1/2 tsp table salt
  • Mix it up with different toppings: everything bagel seasoning, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sea salt
  • WW points = 3
